The continentale region is situated on mountaneous landscape extendind from Cameroon to Angola,about twenty kilometres from the atlantic coast, and 500km long.Moving fom the coast to the interior of the country, we first of all meet the full coastline (llanura de littoral) of width ranging from 15 and 20km, then come in contact with the first mountaneous back.« el escalón de littoral»about hundred metres walk.This  is a region where the first branch of mountaneous region die down North-west and south-west in the continental region comprising of «el escalón» of the coastline and the next important elevation: «el gran escalón«interior we meet two mountaneous features:

¨      Parallel to «l’escalón» of the coastline on 60km length to 25km south -est of Bata and right up to Cameroon,we come across mountaneous features North-west.The mountaneous groupings comprises of summits which are not beyond 1000metres.

¨       The  mountaneous zone South-west, diposes of a range of summits not exceeding 700metres.

¨      Concerning the coastline ,it extends over 150km.from Ntem to rio Muni.Since a large part of the coast is constituted of of a beach of white fine sand.Only the region of san Juan has some scares land.

¨   The muni of South estuary is the coninuation of geological break.Access is forbidden by two islands;Elobey and Corisco,situated before the sea.(*).
